Description

Receives data from the endpoint node.

Parameters
Parameters 
Description 
int sock 
[IN] The socket descriptor. 
char* buf 
[OUT] The buffer containing the data received from the socket upon the return of this function. 
int len 
[IN] The length of data (in bytes). 
int flags 
[IN] Reserved. Not in use. 
SOCKADDR* from 
[OUT] The remote socket address. 
int* fromlen 
[IN|OUT] The size of the remote socket address. On return, it will contain the actual size of the remote socket address.

Positive number 
The actual number of bytes received.
 
Zero 
Received the FIN from the server.
 
VM_SOC_INVALID_SOCKET 
Invalid socket ID.
 
VM_SOC_INVAL 
Socket is not calling soc_listen.
 
VM_SOC_WOULDBLOCK 
Non-blocking.
 
VM_SOC_BEARER_FAIL 
Bearer broken.
 
VM_SOC_NOTCONN 
Socket is not connected in case of TCP.
 
VM_SOC_PIPE 
Socket is already shutdown.
 
VM_SOC_ERROR 
Unspecified error.
